This is a view of Goff Island as seen from Treasure Island Park in Laguna Beach, California. Painted en plein air on a windy day with pounding high surf, this enchanting rock is silhouetted by the rising sun and appears almost dark and mysterious on this blustery February morning in 2010. I caught a day between rain storms in southern California to paint this view on location near the Montage Resort. A fair number of people were out enjoying this beautiful day. You can see a couple of them who have climbed to the top of the rock. Size is 14x18; SOLD.
